New member registration application
The “Mediterranean Institute for the Study and Education in the Prevention and Treatment of Infections” was founded in Athens in 2014, aiming to continuously educate the Greek population and medical doctors about the prevention and treatment of infections. As part of its commitment to improving the scientific level of specialists interested in infection developments, the Institute plans to implement a series of scientific events, which include:
- Organization of seminars, lectures, public discussions, and postgraduate courses.
- Conducting research studies and investigations related to the scientific data of the fields covered by the scientific society, especially those of broader interest.
Membership
Members of the Mediterranean Institute for Study & Education in Infection Prevention are divided into two categories:
- Regular Members: Greek, Cypriot, or foreign scientists with proven scientific training and interest, as evidenced by the quality of their scientific efforts in the field of Infections, after a substantiated recommendation by two regular members.
- Honorary Members: Appointed by the Council as a mark of honor, these are Greek, Cypriot, or foreign medical doctors and/or researchers who have provided exceptional services in their fields or any other individuals who have worked diligently to promote the Institute’s objectives. Honorary members do not have the right to vote or be elected, attend General Assemblies without voting rights, and are exempt from any financial obligations to the College.
